HEADPIPE SERVICE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the Oxygen Sensor. Refer to Oxygen Sensor
Service page 4.27
2. Remove the Exhaust Muffler. Refer to Muffler Service
page 3.20.
3. Remove the four fasteners

securing the upper heat
shield

to the headpipe, and remove the heat
shield.
4. Remove the two fasteners

securing the lower heat
shield

to the headpipe, and remove the heat
shield.
5. Remove the four fasteners
t
securing the headpipe
y
to the engine.
6. Disconnect the exhaust isolator from the chassis and
remove the headpipe from the vehicle.
NOTICE
Discard the headpipe gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. Install a new headpipe gasket.
