VALVE SERVICE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head
Removal and Installation page 3.41.
2. Remove the camshaft. Refer to Camshaft Service
page 3.39.
3. Compress the valve spring using valve spring
compressor PU-52917 to expose the valve keepers.
4. Remove the two valve keepers

5. Remove the valve spring cap

and
valve stem seal

. Discard the valve stem seal.
6. Carefully slide the valve

out through the bottom of
the cylinder head.
7. If reusing valve, perform valve inspection. Refer to
Valve Inspection page 3.46.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully slide the valve

into the cylinder head
through the bottom.
