Quick access to set, change, or cancel these alarms is gained by pressing
themkey.

menu appears and you can select the
alarm group of interest
by pressing
the corresponding
softkey.

menu also lets you just turn OFF the buzzer audio if
it becomes distracting by pressing the indicated @6%%$
softkey.
When
the buzzer is OFF
,
the alarm symbol will be hollow in the upperright comer
of the display.
The visual alarm indicators will still function in
the various message windows even when the
VI=
ON
buzzer audio is OFF.

SHALLOW
Alarm
SHALLOW water alarm
-
This alarm sounds when the water depth is at
or less than the operator’s preset minimum depth level.
To set the Shallow Alarm depth,press
thew
key. On the
SELECT
ALARM
menu press
the1
SOUNDER
ALARMS
1
softkey.
The
SET SOUNDER ALARMS
screen appears as shown.
Press
the-1
sofikey and then use the
(I
(down) direction key to
set the desired alarm depth point for the SHALLOW alarm. When you set
the SHALLOW alarm three things happen. The fish menus disappear, a
numeric value for the alarm setting appears to the right of
‘S&U.IAXV’
on
the menu, and a graphic bar appears to the right edge of the range scale
marks beginning at
‘0”.
As you press the
V
(down) direction key, the digital
value changes to deeper range values and the bar descends down the edge
of the range scale. Use either the digital value
appearing on- screen, or the end of the bar, to set
the depth at which the shallow alarm should
acti-
vate. Use the
A
(up) direction key to reverse the
SHALLOW
alarm setting direction
if
you
overshoot
the intended set point.
When the desired depth is displayed, press the
m
key to return back to the previous display
mode.
