5.15 SETTING THE MAIN FUNCTION
The MAIN function can be turned ON or OFF. When the MAIN function is set to ON, the CM4 main
module works normally. When the MAIN function is set to OFF, the CM4 main module is turned OFF
and is forced to report an on-board trouble. This simulates a problem with the CM4 main module.
To access the MAIN function, proceed as follows:
1. Use the GROUP switch to display the MAIN group.
2. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch to display On or Off as required.
3. When the display shows On or Off, the green part of the ON/OFF indicator lights when the
function is selected.
4. To change the current setting, advance the display to the desired setting (On or Off) and press
up twice on the Set/next switch.
After the first press, the green part of the ON/OFF indicator flashes, meaning that
a change is about to be made. After the second press, the green part lights
continuously, showing that the parity setting has been changed to the displayed
value.
