TMX Telemetry Transmitter And TMR Telemetry Receiver
For RFL IMUX 2000 Intelligent T1 And E1 Multiplexers
DESCRIPTION
The RFL Telemetry System consists of an RFL TMX Telemetry Transmitter module at one end of a
T1/E1 system and an RFL TMR Telemetry Receiver module at the other end. The Telemetry
Transmitter accepts four independent analog channel inputs and multiplexes this data into a single T1
or E1 timeslot. The Telemetry Receiver converts this data back into four independent analog outputs.
Test signals may be switched in for calibration of the analog circuits. These modules are capable of
operating within wide ranges of input and output parameters and use digital techniques to produce
telemetry signals having greater stability than conventional analog telemetry devices.
The TMX and TMR modules are designed for use in RFL IMUX 2000 series chassis, and each module
requires one module space. All module parameters can be programmed remotely via the serial control
bus using SCL or NMS. Analog signal connections are made through an RFL I/O adapter module
which is installed directly behind the telemetry module in each multiplexer chassis.
The modules automatically detect if the system is T1 or E1 and configure themselves appropriately.
User-adjustable switches allow local configuration of the following parameters:
o SCB address o TMX and TMR address
o Time slot select o Bus Direction TXA/TXB
o Local or Remote control o Calibration select for analog channels 1, 2, 3 or 4
o Service ON/OFF o TMX and TMR operating parameters
NOTE
A Limited Choice Of Parameters Can Be Selected In Local Mode (See Tables 14, 18 and 19). The TMX
And TMR Modules Must Be Set Up In Remote Mode For A Complete Choice Of Parameters.
