5.19.2 SETTING THE SYSTEM TYPE
There are two available TYPE settings, T1 and E1. To display and change the system TYPE, proceed
as follows:
1. Use the GROUP switch to display the INTF group.
2. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch to display TYPE.
3. Press up once on the SET/NEXT switch.
The display will now show "E1" which is the first available TYPE setting.
4. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch one more time to see the next TYPE setting, which is T1.
As the TYPE settings are being displayed, the green part of the ON/OFF
indicator lights when the display shows the currently-set TYPE, and the red
part lights when the display shows the other TYPE.
5. To change the current TYPE setting, press down on the SET/NEXT switch until the display
shows the desired TYPE, and then press up twice on the SET/NEXT switch.
After the first press, the green part of the ON/OFF indicator flashes; this means
that a change is about to be made. After the second press, the green part lights
continuously; this means that the baud rate is now set to the displayed value.
The last function in the TYPE subgroup is exit. When the exit function is displayed, you can press up
on the SET/NEXT switch to leave the TYPE subgroup and display HEAD, the next INTF function. To
exit the INTF group entirely, press up or down on the GROUP switch.
5.19.3 SETTING THE HEAD MODE
There are three available HEAD settings: CMI, 75 and 120. To display and change the current HEAD
setting, proceed as follows:
1. Use the GROUP switch to display the INTF group.
2. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch to display HEAD.
3. Press up once on the SET/NEXT switch. The display now shows CMI, which is the first of
three available HEAD settings.
4. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch additional times to see the other available HEAD
settings.
The other available HEAD settings are 75, and 120.
The green part of the ON/OFF indicator lights when the current HEAD setting is
being displayed. If any other HEAD setting is displayed, the red part of the
ON/OFF indicator lights.
