Table 7-3. Possible alert and alarm messages
Message Meaning
The addressed CM4 module's E1 transmitter is in its internal
fallback timing mode.
TRANSMITTER USING FTIME = INT
The addressed CM4 module's E1 transmitter has dropped out of its
primary timing mode, but cannot operate in its fallback timing
mode.
TRANSMITTER CLOCK FREE RUNNING
The addressed CM4 module's E1 output is not generating a signal.
NO OUTPUT FROM TRANSMITTER
No signal is detected at the addressed CM4 module's E1 input.
RECEIVE SIGNAL LOSS
Excessive jitter is detected at the addressed CM4 module's E1 input.
EXCESS JITTER
The addressed CM4 module's E1 receiver has lost frame
synchronization.
RECEIVER OUT OF FRAME
The E1 receiver in the DI-B module has lost frame synchronization.
Only reported by a Common Module set to DI-A mode.
OTHER SIDE (DI-B) IS OUT OF FRAME
The E1 receiver in the DI-A module has lost frame synchronization.
Only reported by a Common Module set to DI-B mode.
OTHER SIDE (DI-A) IS OUT OF FRAME
A framed or unframed all-ones signal is detected at the addressed
CM4 module's E1 input.
RECEIVING ALL ONES
A Yellow Alarm signal is detected at the addressed CM4 module's
E1 input.
RECEIVING YELLOW ALARM
The addressed CM4 module's E1 Payload Loopback is active.
PAYLD-LB = ON
The addressed CM4 module's E1 Line Loopback is active.
LINE-LB = ON
The addressed CM4 module's E1 Equipment Loopback is active.
EQUIP-LB = ON
One of the two power supplies on the Main Shelf or one of the two
power supplies on the Expansion Shelf (if so equipped) has failed.
REDUNDANT POWER SUPPLY FAILURE
STANDBY COMMON MODULE ACTIVE
Standby common module active
BUS TROUBLE
Backplane bus trouble
MAIN COMMON MODULE OFF VIA
FIRMWARE
Main common module forced via software command to report on-
