7.4 Yearly maintenance
Certain maintenance tasks should be performed on the VitaLite-E and C at least once
a year to ensure that it continues to operate smoothly. That is why Ridder Growing
Solutions recommends investing in a Ridder Growing Solutions maintenance contract.
During our yearly maintenance visit (under the Ridder Growing Solutions Profit Set
contract), a qualified Ridder Growing Solutions service engineer will carry out the
tasks listed below.
The following inspection and maintenance tasks should be performed on the VitaLite-E
and C on a yearly basis:
Clean and calibrate the pH sensor.
Clean and calibrate the EC sensor. Caution: Never touch the electrodes with
your bare hands.
Clean and inspect the litre counter.
Clean and inspect the filters.
Clean the sight glass of the flow meter. A flow meter can be removed from the
pipe without leakage.
Check the valve limit switches and calibrate them if necessary.
Check the operation of the VitaLite-E and C.
Check, and if necessary replace, the tanks and supply and dosing pipes for
chemical substances.
