4 Installation procedure
This chapter provides step-by-step instructions on how to install the unit. These steps
are divided into three parts: the water installation, the electrical installation and the
software installation. You can start with either the water installation or the electrical
installation. The software installation (fine-tuning the control parameters of the unit)
must always be performed last.
4.1 Installation requirements
To ensure that the unit is installed successfully, we have set a number of
dealer/installer requirements and general installation requirements.
4.1.1 Dealer/installer requirements
The unit and related software and components should be installed by a qualified
HortiMaX dealer/installer. Ridder Growing Solutions considers a dealer/installer to be
qualified if that person meets the following requirements:
Has successfully completed the VitaLite-E and C training course provided by
Ridder Growing Solutions;
Possesses expertise in installing electrical and water systems;
If the VitaLite-E and C is controlled by a climate computer: possesses
knowledge of the compatible Windows Computer systems and the climate
computer concerned.
4.1.2 Installation requirements
The following requirements apply to installing the VitaLite-E and C on site:
Make sure that the VitaLite-E and C is level.
Install the VitaLite-E and C on a hard surface that is able to support its weight.
