Factory Data Reset
Resetyourdevicetofactorydefaults,erasingalldatafromyourdevice.
ThisactionpermanentlyerasesALLdatafromthedevice,includingGoogleorotheraccount
settings,systemandapplicationdataandsettings,downloadedapplications,aswellasyourmusic,
photos,videos,andotherfiles.AnydatafoundonanexternalSDcardisnotaffected.
Note:WhenyousignintoaGoogleAccountonyourdevice,FactoryResetProtectionis
automaticallyactivated.Thisprotectsyourdeviceintheeventitislostorstolen.Formore
information,seeFactoryResetProtection.
IfyouresetyourdevicetofactorydefaultsettingswiththeFactoryResetProtection(FRP)feature
turnedon,youmustentertheusernameandpasswordforaregisteredGoogleAccountusedon
thisdevicetoregainaccesstothedevice.Youwillnotbeabletoaccessthedevicewithoutthe
correctcredentials.
Warning:IfyouresetyourGoogleAccountpassword,youmustwait72hoursafterchangingyour
passwordtoperformafactorydataresetonyourdevice.
Beforeresettingyourdevice:
1. Verifythattheinformationyouwanttokeephastransferredtoyourstoragearea.
2. LogintoyourGoogleAccountandconfirmyourusernameandpassword.
