11.3.2 Installation
11.3.2.1 Configuration with CFU
Introduction
The SIMATIC CFU with aluminum housing is approved as a combination of housing and
SIMATIC CFU. For explosion-prone areas, approval is valid up to zone 2/22.
11.3.2.2 Installation
The SIMATIC CFU with aluminum housing must be installed and connected by qualified
personnel.

The SIMATIC CFU with aluminum housing weighs approx. 5.5 kg. Hold the device securely in
your hand during installation.
