The use of distributed I/Os is suitable for such systems:
The automation system is located at a central position.
The I/O devices (inputs and outputs) operate decentrally on site.
The CFU PA with its integrated BusLink between PROFINET IO and PROFIBUS PA
enables decentralized connection of PA field devices to the CPU of the automation system.

Basic components of CFU types
The following basic components are available for the CFU types:

The mounting rail is the component on which the CFU is fastened.
Types: Top-hat rail TH 35 in accordance with EN 60715

CFU PA:
Integrate the CFU PA as an IO device on PROFINET IO in the automation system.
The CFU PA has the following interfaces:
8 fieldbus connections for each field device on PROFIBUS PA (FIELDBUS).
8 freely configurable channels (DIQ).
LED displays at the interface dome indicate the device status.
