7.3.4 Changing a single power supply (AC)
Note
Conversion from a single power supply (AC) to a redundant power supply (AC) and vice
versa is not possible.
Requirement
● The device is fully disconnected from the line voltage, see "Switching off the device
(Page 58)".
● The device is open, see important information in "Open the device (Page 85)".
● An original spare part, i.e. a single power supply of the same type
● T10 screwdriver
● Diagonal cutter
● Cable ties used to fix the power supply lines in the enclosure.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the cables from the drives and the motherboard.
2. Remove the cable ties securing the power cables in the enclosure.
3. Loosen the screws marked in the following picture at the enclosure bottom.
4. Remove the screws marked in the following picture.
5. Pull the power supply upward and out of the housing.
6. Remove the mounting bracket from the enclosure of the old power supply.
