THE COVERING DEVICE (3, FIG. 6.87) NEEDS TO BE PARTIALLY BURIED SO THAT THE SEED-COVE-
RING CAN WORK NORMALLY.
BEFORE ADJUSTING THE SEED-COVERING DEVICE, FIRST ADJUST THE METERING UNIT’S PLAN-
TING DEPTH (see section 6.8.2 ADJUSTING PROSEM P).
6.11.2.2 ADJUSTING THE FURROW-COVERER PROSEM P
The pressure of the seed-covering
device (4, Fig. 6.88) can be adjusted
using the spring (5, Fig. 6.88). The-
refore when the spring’s position is
modied, the strength it exerts on
the ground is also modied.
Pressure exerted by the spring de-
pending on the position is shown
in the next table:
