10.5.5 - 9-Volt Battery
To replace the 9-Volt Battery:
1. Turn the DC Disconnect Switch to the OFF position. If the battery pack includes a DC
disconnect, then turn that switch OFF as well.
2. Move the external AC disconnect / back-feed breaker in the main electrical panel to the
OFF position.
3. Remove the wiring box cover as described in
“Remove Wiring Box Cover” on page 59
.
4. Disconnect the old battery and remove it from its clip (1).
5. Connect the new battery and place it in the clip.
6. Replace the wiring box cover as described in
“Refit Wiring Box Cover” on page 60
.
7. Close the wiring box cover by tightening the four (4) screws.
8. Move the external AC disconnect / back-feed breaker in the main electrical panel to the
ON position.
9. Turn the DC Disconnect Switch to the ON position. If the battery pack includes a DC
disconnect, then turn that switch ON as well.
