8 CO2 measurement (optional)
When connecting the IRMA™ probe to the system of an infant, direct contact of the
probe with the infant's body must ALWAYS be prevented. If the probe comes in
contact with the infant's body for whatever reason, insulating material must be used.
Do not use the IRMA™ probe outside the specified ambient temperature.
Do not expose the cable of the IRMA™ probe to tensile forces.

To install the CO

measuring probe:
Connect the IRMA™ connecting cable to the CO
2
sensor input on
the right side of the EVE
TR
(see Fig. 39). Switch on the EVE
TR
.
Before connecting the IRMA™ airway adapter to the patient system,
the gas values and curves on the EVE
TR
monitor must be checked.

Secure the IRMA™ probe to the IRMA™ airway adapter. The probe
audibly locks into place when secured properly.
