General maintenance information
Qualifications of personnel
Only qualified and authorised personnel are
allowed to perform maintenance work The an-
nual check must be conducted by a specialist.
The specialist’s evaluation must be unaffected
by operational and economic conditions and
be conducted solely from a safety standpoint.
The specialist must have sufficient knowledge
and experience to be able to assess the con-
dition of a forklift truck and the effectiveness of
the protective equipment according to techni-
cal conventions and the principles for testing
forklift trucks.
Maintenance work for which no special
qualifications are necessary
Simple maintenance work, e.g. checking the
hydraulic oil level or checking the fluid level in
the battery, may be performed by untrained
personnel. This does not require training as
described above. Refer to this operating man-
ual for further information.
Information regarding performing
maintenance
This section contains all information to deter-
mine when your truck must be serviced. Be
sure to perform maintenance according to
the maintenance overview programme; this is
essential to obtain the full availability, produc-
tivity and working life from your truck, and is a
pre-condition for any warranty claims.
