Regular safety check of the industrial
trucks
Safety check based on time and extraor-
dinary incidents
The operator (see ⇒ Chapter "Definition of
terms used for responsible persons", P. 20)
must make sure that the industrial truck is
checked by a specialist at least once per year
or after special incidents (audit in line with
accident prevention guidelines in Germany;
please observe your national guidelines) (see
⇒ Chapter "Definition of terms used for re-
sponsible persons", P. 20).
A complete audit of the technical condition of
the industrial truck is performed with regard to
accident safety. In addition, the industrial truck
must also be thoroughly checked for damage,
that could have potentially been caused by
improper use. An audit log must be created.
The results from the audit must be retained
until a further two audits have been carried
out.
The schedule is indicated by a sticker on the
vehicle. Use the "Test log book for power-
driven industrial trucks"! Order No. 135745
Observe the guidelines for testing on your ve-
hicles in accordance with accident prevention
regulations (GERMAN ACCIDENT PREVEN-
TION REGULATIONS FOR INDUSTRIAL
TRUCKS).
The operator must ensure faults are rectified
without delay. Please contact the service cen-
tre.
