Fastening the restraining belt
WARNING
Risk of injury!
– Always fasten the belt before moving the truck.
Make sure that the belt is not twisted when faste-
ning.
– Use the belt only to secure a person!
– If you notice any malfunction in the belt while
fastening, do not put the truck into operation
before the belt has been repaired.
NOTE
The buckle has a buckle switch (special equip-
ment). If there is an operating error or mal-
function, the message
SICHERHEITSGURT
(SAFETY BELT)
appears in the display and
operating unit (see ⇒ Chapter "SAFETY BELT
message", P. 5-142).
– Pull the belt (3) smoothly out of the retrac-
tor and fasten belt tightly against the body
above the thigh.
NOTE
Sit back as far as possible, so that your back is
against the seat backrest. The automatic blo-
cking mechanism permits sufficient freedom
of movement.
– Insert the tongue (2) of the belt into the
buckle (1) until it latches.
– Check the belt tension. It should be close to
the body.
