SECTION 8F. IMPLEMENT PUMP
GENERAL
The implement pump is mounted on the rear of the
traction pump. The pump is driven by the engine
through a spline shaft direct coupling. The implement
pump provides hydraulic pressure for operating the
deck motor. Repairs to the implement pump are limited
to the replacement of seals.

REMOVAL
1. Shut off the engine and remove the ignition key.
2. Unlatch the seat platform. Pivot the seat and seat
platform to the full upward position.
3. Drain the hydraulic tank.
4. Thoroughly clean the implement pump, especially
the area surrounding the hydraulic hoses, tubes,
and fittings.
5. Tag and disconnect the hydraulic hoses and tubes
from the implement pump. Immediately plug the
hoses and pump to prevent contamination of the
hydraulic system.
6. While supporting the pump, remove the two
socket head capscrews securing the implement
pump to the traction pump (Figure 8F-2).
