Refer to “Traction Motor Repair” on page 23 for traction
motor repair.
Installation
1. While supporting the traction motor, install the four
mounting bolts, lock washers, and nuts to secure
the motor to the motor mount.
2. Remove the plugs from the hydraulic hoses and
motor. Using tags created during disassembly,
connect the hoses to the motor fittings.
3. Install the hub and hub nut.
4. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
TRACTION MOTOR REPAIR
Disassembly
1. Scribe an alignment mark down the side of the
motor (see Figure 8E-5).

2. Disassemble the traction motor as shown in
Figure 8E-6 through Figure 8E-9.
