SECTION 13D. DIFFERENTIAL LOCK
GENERAL
An optional differential lock system (Figure 13D-1) is
available on two wheel drive models. The differential
lock includes a flow divider mounted on the front axle.
The flow divider is positioned between oil flow from
traction pump forward port and the left and right trac-
tion motors.
FLOW DIVIDER
A solenoid valve mounted in the flow divider valve
allows hydraulic oil to flow evenly through the solenoid
valve to both traction motors (Figure 13D-2) until the
operator engages the differential lock switch.
When the differential lock switch is activated the sole-
noid valve shifts position (Figure 13D-3) and divides
the flow of hydraulic oil to the left and right traction
motors. The traction motors then use the hydraulic oil
on demand providing traction as needed.
The flow divider can be removed and installed using
Figure 13D-1.
