11.Remove the fuel supply hose from the fuel pump
to the fuel/water separator at the fuel pump.
Immediately plug the hose to prevent contamina-
tion.
12.Remove the fuel supply hose from the fuel water
separator to the injection pump at the injection
pump.
13.Remove the exhaust assembly.
14.Tag and disconnect the wiring harness at the fuel
solenoid, starter, oil sender, coolant temperature
sender, and alternator. Remove the harness hold
down and the wiring harness away from the
engine.
15.Remove the traction pump (Figure 3D-19). See
Section 8.

16.Using an engine hoist, support the engine and
remove the lower front engine mounting bolts
(Figure 3D-20).

17.Remove four bolts and lock washers from both
sides of the engine at the lower rear engine sup-
ports (Figure 3D-21).
