Hydraulic Oil Cooler (Diesel)
Removal and Installation
See Figures 6-76 and 6-77.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable from the
battery.
3. Drain hydraulic oil tank. (See “Hydraulic Oil Tank—
Drain Procedure” on page 6-42.)

4. Open six latches (1) and remove bug screen panel
(2).

5. Thoroughly clean the hydraulic oil cooler, especially
the area surrounding the hydraulic hoses, tubes, and
fittings.
NOTES
• Label all hydraulic hoses and tubes before
disconnecting to ensure correct installation.
• Close all openings with caps or plugs to prevent
contamination.
6. Disconnect hydraulic hoses (8 and 10).
7. Remove four screws (4), washers (5), and mounting
blocks (6).
8. Remove hydraulic fittings (3 and 9) and remove oil
cooler (7).
Installation Notes
• Install oil cooler by reversing the order of removal.
• Make sure new O-rings are in place before installing
hoses and fittings.
• Replace hydraulic oil charge filter. (See “Hydraulic
Oil Charge Filter Assembly” on page 6-59.)
• Refill hydraulic tank. (Refer to “Parts and
Maintenance Manual” for correct oil specifications.)
• Start engine. Check hydraulic system for leaks.
Repair as necessary.
• Check hydraulic oil level and add if necessary.
