Seat and Seat Plate
Removal and Installation
See Figures 9-29 and 9-30.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable from the
battery.

3. Remove screws (1), lock washers (2), and flat
washers (3).

4. Support the seat and seat plate (4) with a suitable
lifting device.
NOTE
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
5. Disconnect the operator’s seat switch wire connector
(8).
6. Remove nuts (5), flat washers (6), and screws (7).
7. Using a lifting device, remove seat and seat plate.
Installation Notes
• Install seat and seat plate by reversing the order of
removal.
• Carefully route seat switch wire harness to avoid
damage from pinched wires.
• Apply dielectric grease (Jacobsen PN 365422) to any
wire connectors disconnected.

1. Remove four nuts (2) and four flat washers (3), and
remove seat plate (4) from seat (1).
