CHAPTER 6 - DETAILED PARAMETER DESCRIPTION
For the V/F Control, there is a “Dead Time” (motor runs freely) before
the DC braking starts. This time is required in order to demagnetize the
motor and it is a function of the motor speed.
During the DC Braking the LED displays flashes
The DC braking does not work with P202 = 4 (Vector with Encoder
If the inverter is enabled during the DC braking operation, the braking
process is interrupted andthe inverter will returnto its normal operation.
The DC braking may continue working even after the motor has
already stopped. Pay special attention to the motor thermal sizing
for cyclic braking of short time.
Thisparameter establishes the starting point from where the DC Braking
takes place. Refer to figure 6.40.
This parameter adjusts theDC voltage (DCbrakingtorque) applied to the
motor during the braking process.
The setting shall be done by gradually increasing the value of P302,
which varies from 0 to 10 % of the rated supplyvoltage, until the desired
braking torque is reached.
This parameter works onlyfor the V/F and VVW Control Modes. For the
Sensorless Mode, refer to parameter P372.
