ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
5. Place the forward-gear shim-pack in
position, and install the forward-gear
outer race on the shim-pack.

Bearing outer race attachment:
YB-6085/
90890-06627........................... 2
6. Place the forward-gear complete on to
the outer race.
7. Place the drive-shaft in the gear case,
and insert it into the pinion.
Tighten the pinion nut to the specified
torque.
8. Referring to the illustration, assemble
the propeller shaft.
Insert the shift spring and shift plunger
into the open end of the propeller shaft.
By pushing the shift plunger, bring the
cross pin hole in the clutch dog and
insert the cross pin into the hole, then
install the cross pin ring.

51 Nm (5.1 m • kgf, 37 ft • lb)
9. Grease the lips of the oil-seals, and
insert the propeller shaft complete into
the bearing housing.
