5 Using the Agilent 7100 Capillary Electrophoresis System
Controlling the Agilent CE Instrument
Starting the Agilent ChemStation Software the First Time
Starting the Agilent ChemStation software the first time will lead to the
following message:

Please select Yes. The following dialog will allow you to configure the
instrument. Please provide an IP address or host name in the subsequent
dialog. Check the respective radio button and type in either the IP address or
the host name of your instrument.

The auto-configuration process will detect an instrument at the IP address or
host name you provide. You can confirm the instruments identity with the
serial number.
Please select "Configure..." if you would like to connect to a different
instrument.
