3 Replace the ONT with a new unit:
a On a flat surface, such as a desk, substitute a replacement ONT for the old
ONT; go to step 4.
b On a wall.
i Slide the old ONT upward and then away from the two mounting screws
until the ONT is free of the wall.
ii Install the replacement ONT following the wall mounting instructions
for an I-010G-P, I-020G-P, or I-040G-P indoor ONT (DLP 122).
4 Connect the Ethernet cables as required to the RJ-45 ports (DLP 101).
a For the I-010G-P indoor ONT, connect one cable.
b For the I-020G-P indoor ONT, connect two cables.
c For the I-040G-P indoor ONT, connect four cables.
5 If required, have approved service personnel who are trained to work with optic
fiber clean the fiber optic connection. See DLP 134 for more information about
fiber optic handling, inspection, and cleaning.
6 Connect the SC/APC fiber optic cable (DLP 125).
7 Install the power supply according to manufacturer specifications.
8 Connect the power cable to the ONT unit power connector as shown in
Figures NTP 125-1, NTP 125-2, and NTP 125-3.
Note — The I-020G-P and I-040G-P cannot be stacked with another
ONT or with other equipment. The ONT mounting requirements are:
• allow a minimum 100 mm clearance above the top cover
• allow a minimum 50 mm clearance from the side vents
• do not place any heat source directly above the top cover or below
the bottom cover
Danger — Fiber optic cables transmit invisible laser light. To avoid eye
damage or blindness, never look directly into fibers, connectors, or
adapters.
Warning — Be careful to maintain a bend radius of no less than 1.5
inches (3.8 cm) when connecting the fiber optic cable. Too small of a
bend radius in the cable can result in damage to the optic fiber.
Note — Observe the following:
• Units must be powered by a Listed or CE approved and marked
limited power source power supply with a minimum output rate of
12 V dc, 1.25 A.
