• Use the paddles: remove the paddles set from the paddle slot by holding the handle
with your hands and pulling the paddles straight upwards out of the paddle slot. After applying
conductive paste to the paddles, place them on the patient using the anterior-anterior placement
position.
3. If pads are used, connect the multi-function pads to the multi-function pad cable.
4. Connect the external defibrillation paddle/multi-function pad cable to the defibrillator
monitor.
6.4.4 Placement of Paddles/Pads
The external defibrillation paddles/multi-function pads can only be placed in an
anterior-anterior placement position, as shown below:
6- 5 Placement of paddles/pads
1. Place the sternum paddles or RA multi-function pads on the right side of the patient's
sternum and under the clavicle.
2. Place the apex paddles or LL multi-functional pads on the patient's left papilla and the
midaxillary line, and the center of the apex paddles or LL multi-functional pads should be on the
mid-axillary line.
6.4.5 Check Pacing Status
It is important to set the patient's pacing status correctly before starting ECG monitoring.
Refer to "6.3ECG Monitoring settings" to set pacing [Analysis On/Off [. Set pacing [Analysis
On/Off [to "On". When the system detects a pacing signal, the "︱" symbol is marked above the
ECG waveform.
Warnings
• For patients receiving pacing therapy, set [Pacing Analysis] to [Yes]. When pacing
analysis is turned on, arrhythmias (including PVCs counts) associated with ventricular premature
beats will not be monitored and ST segment analysis will not be performed.
