16 Battery Management
16.1 Overview
The Defibrillator Monitor is equipped with a maintenance-free lithium-ion rechargeable
smart battery to ensure that the Defibrillator Monitor can be used normally even if the external
power supply is not available. When AC power or DC power is turned on using an inverter, the
battery can be charged regardless of whether the unit is turned on or not. In the event of a
sudden power outage, the system will automatically use the battery to supply power without
interrupting the treatment and monitoring. Therefore, we recommend that the user always
install a fully charged battery on the device.
Warnings:
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Use only the battery specified by the manufacturer.
• Use only the Defibrillator Monitor and the equipment designated by the company to
charge the battery.
Caution:
• Whether the Defibrillator Monitor is in use or not, the AC power supply should be
connected whenever possible to keep the battery charged.
• Always have a fully charged battery on the defibrillator monitor.
• With the use and aging of the battery, the remaining power displayed on the battery
icon may deviate from the actual power. For accurate information, please refer to the system
alarm.
