Monitoring
9.1 Overview
Continuous, non-invasive pulse oximetry is used for SpO
2
measurement. It measures the
light flux that reaches the photodetector end of the sensor after a specific wavelength of light
emitted from the sensor's light source is absorbed by the oxygenated hemoglobin in the patient's
tissues, thus obtaining the information on blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The
Defibrillator Monitor has been calibrated to display functional SpO
2
.

① Pleth waveform:The amplitude of the Pleth waveform directly reflects the pulse signal
strength of the patient. The Pleth waveform is not normalized.

Warnings
• Use only the blood oxygen sensors specified in this manual and follow the reference
sensor instructions.
• Before use, the operator needs to verify the compatibility among the monitor, SpO
