2. Disconnect the external power supply and use the battery to power the Defibrillator
Monitor until the Defibrillator Monitor is turned off.
3. The length of time the battery is powered will reflect the performance of the battery. If
the battery is powered for significantly less than the time claimed in the specifications, replace
the battery or contact maintenance personnel.
Caution:
The battery life depends on the frequency and duration of use. If stored properly, the life of
lithium batteries is about 2 years. If the battery is used improperly, its life may be shortened. We
recommend replacing the battery every 2 years.
To maintain good battery performance, a fully discharged (or nearly fully discharged) battery
must be charged as soon as possible.
The battery power time depends on the device configuration and operation, e.g. frequent
NIBP measurement will shorten the battery power time.
16.4 Charging the Battery
Please refer to "21.2 Physical Specifications" for battery charging specifications
16.5 Battery storage
When storing the battery, ensure that the electrodes of the battery do not touch metal
objects. If the battery needs to be stored for a long time, it should be kept in a cool environment,
keeping the battery power at 40 % -60 %.
Storing the battery in a cool environment can slow down battery aging. Ideally, the battery
should be stored in a cool environment with a temperature of 15℃ (60℉). Do not store batteries
in an environment outside the range of -20℃ (-4℉) - 60 °C (140 ℉).
If the defibrillator monitor is not used for a long time, the battery should be removed.
Otherwise, the battery will be over-discharged, making the charging time significantly longer. The
stored battery should be incompletely charged every two months to maintain a charge of 40 %
-60 %. The battery should be fully charged before use.
Caution:
• Do not leave the battery in the device if it is not used for a long time.
• Do not store the battery in an environment above 38℃ (100 ℉) for a long time to
prevent shortening the expected life of the battery.
16.6 Battery Recycling
If the battery is visibly damaged, the battery is malfunctioning, aging or the battery has been
in use for more than two years, it should be replaced and properly recycled. When handling used
