Electronic Notepad
The Electronic Notepad allows you to program information into the DRO memory. You
can program a maximum of 500 lines. Each line contains the desired position, which
datum point it refers to (Mill Mode) or which tool (Lathe Mode), and whether the move is in
Absolute or Incremental Mode. One line also can contain an entire preprogrammed hole
pattern. You can store separate programs consecutively.
You can store the program directly by entering the data for desired positions or you can
generate it through a teach-In process. Teach-In allows you to store the program while
you perform the moves and operations to make the first part. When you recall the
programmed information the DRO sets ABS or INCR, prompts for Datum or Tool, and
displays the axis dimensions as a distance-to-go.
The Electronic Notepad retains the entered information, even after you turn off the power,
for as long as 10 years.
You can enter the following information into the Electronic Notepad:
q ABSolute or INCRemental Mode
