Entering Axis Dimensions by Teach-In
As an alternative to manually entering the axis dimensions, you can store the program
the first time you machine the workpiece.
1. Make sure you properly zero the DRO or set the datum for the starting position.
2. Perform the steps described in Entering Axis Dimensions except when the DRO
instructs you to enter an axis dimension, move the table to the desired location on the
workpiece.
The axis displays will indicate the axis dimension values.
To automatically enter the values into the Electronic Notepad:

The DRO prompts for the correct memory location in the message window.
4. Make sure this is the correct location or change it.
