When the electrode reaches the Target Z-Depth, Relay 1 will switch. This can be used to
terminate the main sparking cycle.
If Spark-Out is activated, Relay 2 switches at the same time as Relay 1. After the
countdown of the preset Spark-Out time, Relay 2 will switch again. This can be used to
perform a Spark-Out cycle for a specified duration.
If SparkArrest
TM
is activated and the electrode should move in the wrong direction and
reach the SparkArrest
TM
level, then Relay 2 will switch allowing the EDM machine to turn
off the sparking cycle for safety reasons. The DRO also disables Spark-Out if Relay 2
switches because the electrode reaches the SparkArrest
TM
level.
