Z-Depth Guard Setup, Relay 1 (900E Only) – F 38
F 38 allows you to set up Relay 1 to control the maximum electrode depth from the zero
position (Target Z-Depth).
NOTE: For proper operation of the EDM functions, you must enter Target Z-Depth and
Spark-Out time using Entering Target Z-depth and Spark-Out time – F 37.
NOTE: Refer to the instructions provided by the EDM machine builder for the
appropriate setup parameters.
To set up Relay 1:
1. Press to select the feature.
The DRO displays one of the following in the message window:
Rela
I off
Rela
I on
2. Press
+
_
to toggle Relay 1 ON and
set the feature.
NOTE: Z-Depth Guard is activated only if Relay 1 is ON.
The DRO displays one of the following in the message window:
Cont open Cont close
3. Press
+
_
to toggle between the
settings and to set the
feature.
