To check Protocol communication in use, do the following:
1. In the Device Files area, browse Connections. Then double-click
Protocol.
2. In the Active Protocol section of the Protocols Management dialog box,
the protocol in use is shown.
To edit the protocol configuration, do the following:
1. In the Device Files area, browse Connections. Then double-click Protocol.
2. In the Active Protocol section of the Protocols Management dialog box, click Configure.
3. In the Protocol parameters tab, double-click the parameters to edit.
NOTE: Clicking the Configure button, both the Active protocol parameters tab and the
Basic protocol parameters are editable.
4. In the Protocol dialog box, configure the new value of the parameter.
5. In the Protocol dialog box, click OK.
6. On the lower part of the Active protocol parameters section, click Save.
To edit parameters common to all the protocols, do the following:
1. In the Device Files area, browse Connections. Then double-click Protocol.
2. In the Active Protocol section of the Protocols Management dialog box, click Configure.
3. On the right side of the Protocol management dialog box, select the Basic protocol parameters
tab.
NOTE: Clicking the Configure button, both the Active protocol parameters tab and the
Basic protocol parameters are editable.
4. In the Basic protocol parameters tab, select the parameter to edit.
5. On the information message A basic protocol parameter is common to all
protocols. The change of its value will affect all protocols. Do
you really want to edit this parameter?, click Yes.
6. In the Protocol: Basic dialog box, configure the new value.
7. In the Protocol: Basic dialog box, click OK.
