Environment conditions
Table below summarizes the physical environment in which the Prometheus m ay be safely operated o r stored.
Environment Operating Non-Operating
Ambient Temperature 10°C (50°F) to 35°C (95°F) -15°C (5°F) to 60°C (140°F)
Air c leanliness Clean office environment (equivalent with cleanroom
standard ISO 14644-1 ISO Class 9)

Humidity
5% to 85% R H Non-condensed 5% to 95% RH Non-Condensed
Altitude

Let the p rojector acclimatize after unpacking. Neglecting this may result in a startup failure of t he Light Pro-
cessor Unit.
Cooling requirements
The projector is fan cooled and must be installed with sufficient space around the projector head, minimum 20 cm (8 inch) to ensure
sufficient air flow. It should be used in a n area where the am bient t emperature, as measured at the projector air inlet , does not
exceed +35°C (+95°F).
The installation of an exh aust system is M ANDATORY. The installed ex haust blower mus t remove an air volume of minimum
10m
3
/min (350 CFM) m easured at the exhaust output of the projector.
Main Power requirements
Projector Power requirements
Prometheus I 200-240 VAC , 50-60Hz, 30A at 200 VAC (m ono phase)
Prometheus II 230/400V 3W+N +PE 16A 50-60Hz (Y connection) or 208V 3W+PE 27A 50 -60Hz (Δ connection)
The power cord required to connect the projector with the power net is not delivered with the projector. It is the responsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of pow er cord. T he cross-sectional area of the conductors in the pow er supply c ord shall not
be less than 4 mm ² or 10 AWG , minimu m 300V.
To protect operating personnel, the N ational Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) recomm ends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this projector be operated without an adequate cabinet ground connection.
The A C supply m ust be installed by a qua lified electri
cian in co nformance to local codes. Hardware, wire sizes and conduit types
must comply with local codes.
A readily acc essible disconnect device shall be incorporate d externally to the equipm ent for removal of the power to the equipment
mains terminals.
The building installation must be provided with a circuit breaker o f m ax. 40A to protect the com plete unit.
WARNING: Disco nnect the p ower to the unit m ains ter
minals and unplug power cord at UPS inlet for removal
of all powe r from the unit
UPS requirements
The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), also known as a Continuous Power Supply (CPS), must have an output voltage of 200-240V
at 50-60Hz and m ust be capable of deliver
ing an output current of 5,5 amperes. This UPS provides only power for the electronics
and not for the lamp.
The connection between the UPS unit and the U PS inlet of the projector must be done with a certified AC power supply cord of
minimum 0,75 mm² or 1 8 AWG and minimum 300V.
CAUTION: The 200–240V power outlet (UPS OUTLET) of the p rojector may not be used t o provide the UPS
unit with power! The UPS OUTLET of the projector may only be used for connection to the UPS INLET of the
projector.
The Prometheus does not have a built in UPS unit.
