2.4 Initial inspection
General
Before shipment, the projector was inspected and found to be free of mechanical and electrical defects. As soon as the pr ojector is
unpacked, inspect for any damage that m ay have o ccurred in transit. S ave all packing m aterial until the inspection is completed. If
damage is found, file claim w ith ca rrier immediately. The B arco S ales and S ervice office s hould be notified as soon as possible.
The packaging of the Prom etheus is provided with a sh ock-watch label. If this shock-watch label was trig-
gered (red colored at arrival) during transport, indicates that the package was possibly ro ughly h
andled by
the transport company. In this case, the in structions m entioned on the label, should be followed, which are:
adding a note on the “bill of lading” and in forming the transport company and the Barco sales and service
office as soon as possible.
Box c ontent
After unpacking the projector it is recommen ded to check if all following items w here include
d:
• One short power link cable (mono phase) (in case no UPS is used) - Installed on projector.
• This manua l (installation manual).
• Safety manual
The projector lens and xenon lamp are not included in the package of the projector.
Mechanical check
This check shou ld confirm that there are no broken knobs or connectors, that the cabinet and panel surfaces are free of dents and
scratches, and that the operating panel is not scratched or cracked. T he Barco Sales and Service office should be notified as soon
as possible if this is not the case.
Tamper labels
During installation please inspect the tamper labels, if they are damaged please contact Barco tech support.
The tam per labels are required by DCI to prov ide easy v isual indication if the equipment was tampered with. The projectors a re
tested and labeled for shipping to ensure that the s ystem was not co
mpromised before reaching the customers final destination.
These tamper labels can be found behind the input cover. S ee "Removal of the input cover", page 135 .
