Configure Routing Interfaces
Restrictions
For this release, the following line cards are supported:
Quad OC-192 packet-over-SONET/Dynamic Packet Transport PLIM (see Figure 7-5)
16 x OC-48 packet-over-SONET/Dynamic Packet Transport PLIM (see Figure 7-6 and Figure 7-7)
SUMMARY STEPS
1. configure
2. interface type instance
3. ipv4 address ipv4-address subnet-mask
4. Configure additional features on the interface.
5. no shutdown
6. commit
7. end
8. show interfaces
DETAILED STEPS
Command or Action Purpose
Step 1
configure
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
Enters global configuration mode.
Step 2
interface type instance
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)# interface pos
0/2/0/0
Specifies the physical port and enters interface configuration
mode.
