Configuration History and Rollback
Note Enter the show rollback points command to display the commitIDs.
Displaying the Configuration History Log
To display the header records for up to 1000 commit events, enter the show configuration history
command in EXEC mode, as shown in the following example.
The output from this command does not show the details of the entries, but allows you to display a larger
list of the commit events that occurred. To display the commitIDs that you can roll back to, use the show
rollback points command.
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# show configuration history

Configuration Change Notification
When a target configuration is committed to the running configuration, a configuration change message
is generated, as shown in the following example:
RP/0/0/0:Aug 6 09:26:17.781 : %LIBTARCFG-6-COMMIT Configuration committed by user
‘user_a'. Use 'show commit changes 1000000124' to view the changes.
