5.5.3.5 People Counting (Optional)
System can calculate the entry/exit people amount in the specified zone. It can generate an alarm when
the amount has exceeded the threshold.
5.5.3.5.1 People Counting
It is to set flow statistic mode and alarm activation items.
From main menu->Setup->Event->People counting>People counting, you can see an interface shown as
in Figure 5-80.
Channel: Please select a channel from the dropdown list. Check the box to enable people counting
function.
OSD overlay: Check the box here; you can view the people amount on the surveillance video.
Direction: It is to set people flow direction. It includes entry/exit.
Entry No.: It is to set people entry amount. System can generate an alarm once the amount has
exceeded the threshold.
Exit No.: It is to set people entry amount. System can generate an alarm once the amount has
exceeded the threshold.
Stranded No.: It is to set people staying amount in the zone. System can generate an alarm once the
amount has exceeded the threshold.
Video matrix: Check the box here to enable this function. Right now system supports 1-window tour
function and it follows “first come, first server” rule. DVR processes the new triggered tour when the
previous alarm ended. Otherwise it resumes the previous tour status before the people counting.
Click to draw the rule. Left click mouse to draw a line, until you draw a rectangle, you can
right click mouse.
