Negative Ribbon Advance
Where a customer image contains a large unused area, ribbon saving can be achieved by
setting the Ribbon Advance parameter to a negative value.
• Measure the space between the two parts of the print image and use the negative
of this as the Ribbon Advance start value
• Produce product and examine the used ribbon
• Adjust the Ribbon Advance if you see overlapping prints or the gap between prints
is large.
The examples below show typical example applications where a negative Ribbon Advance
has been used.
