The Printhead
Printhead Contrast Settings
The Printhead dynamically controls the energy supplied to each Printhead element (dot).
Each individual dot is monitored through three pulses and the energy supplied adjusted.
This prevents overheating of the Printhead and controls the print quality.
Three parameters control the energy supplied, Darkness, Cont 4 and Cont 5.
• Darkness (Cont 1) is used where no
previous dots have been printed
• Cont 4 is used when the previous dot was
printed
• Cont 5 is used when the previous two
dots were printed
