■ Daily Password
Some features of the SmartDate X40 are accessed by using the daily password. The
password is an 8-digit code using numbers from 1 to 4 and can be calculated using the
table below:

For example: 13

• Write down the date as: 13112011
• Read the first digit along the date row, 1
• Now read the code below the date, 2
• Complete the process until all eight digits are encoded

Make sure that the correct date is set in the Controller before you input the daily password
otherwise it will not work. If you return to the first menu screen by accident, you will need
to re-enter the password.
