■ Printhead Warranty Conditions
40 km/12-Month limitations
• Use of Markem-Imaje ribbon only
• Ribbon must cover the complete Printhead width
• Direct thermal transfer printing not covered
• Physical damage excluded
• Claim for Printhead warranty must be accompanied with a copy of the Printhead
log from the SmartDate X40. See Page 248
■ After Sales Repair Service Options
Advance Exchange Service
• Refurbished machine or part sent to customer
• Customer returns faulty unit to repair center in same box. If not returned within
three weeks the customer is charged the difference of new and refurbished part
• Customer will not receive back the same serial numbered machine
Repair and Return
• Customer sends their machine or modules to the repair center for repair
• With customer approval, repair is performed and the unit is returned to the
customer
• Customer maintains their original serial numbered unit
Break Fix (repair on request):
• On-site labor and travel are chargeable
• Parts replaced under warranty
o Circuit PCB replacement
o Sub-assembly replacement
o Switches, drive motors, guides etc
