Printer Options
Both Intermittent and Continuous Smartdate X40s are available with 32mm or 53mm
Printhead options, and both Left or Right hand configurations.

• SmartDate X40 can be re-handed without using additional parts
• Conversion between Intermittent and Continuous models is possible at Markem-Imaje
service centers
• Printhead conversion kits are available to customers to change the Printhead width
• Cassette spool spacers are included as part of the Printhead conversion kits. These
automatically offset the ribbon to the correct position for the 32mm Printhead
Full width ribbon with 53mm Spool Narrow ribbon with 32mm Spool
Note: The ribbon used must cover the complete Printhead width to maintain
Printhead Warranty.
