Upgrading an Existing SmartDate 2/3 Installation
Most SmartDate 2/3 standard bracket installations can be adapted for use with the
SmartDate X40. The following Pages will help to decide compatibility and if extra
components are required.
Intermittent Window End Plate (WEP) Bracket*
Usually compatible with SmartDate X40i
To establish compatibility CHECK:
• Cassette will fit through window end plate*
• Printer has +10mm clearance on both sides
• Cable and air pipe will route to opposite side of Printer
* For Solid End Plate bracket, check the Cassette can be removed from the side.
Continuous Window End Plate (WEP) Bracket*
Usually compatible with SmartDate X40c
To establish compatibility CHECK:
• Cassette will fit through window end plate*
• Printer has +10mm clearance on both sides
• Encoder cable can be re-routed to the Printer
• Cable and air pipe will route to opposite side of Printer
* For Solid End Plate bracket, check the Cassette can be removed from the side
