Start up Problems

Bootstrap failure
Power off and check Controller to Printer
connection. Check bootstrap link. Power On

Carriage failed to home
Remove Cassette, check/repair home
switch/drive belt. Re-insert Cassette to clear
fault

Calibration Failure
Initial Tension failure; ensure that the Ribbon is
loaded correctly and that the take-up spool is
not slipping. Ensure the correct Printer type is
selected

Calibration ribbon sensor failed
Ribbon sensor failure, Remove Cassette.
Check/repair the movement sensor roller

Calibration diameter out of range
The supply or take-up reel diameter is outside
the machine specification. Check ribbon is
loaded correctly

Calibration unable to tension
The correct tension could not be obtained in the
ribbon. Check ribbon is loaded correctly
1109
General calibration failure
Remove Cassette. Check/repair ribbon sensor
assembly. Re-insert Cassette to clear fault
